Short Description     

Our client is looking for an Assistant to start working urgently.

Duties

• To maintain systems to support controlled product release
• To preparation of incoming acceptance documentation.
• To dimensional measurements and programming and coordinating measuring machines and optical measurement systems
• To production and Development support for tooling, measurement equipment , fixtures and gauging
• To production and Development support to resolve technical drawing and manufacturing challenges
• To release of products, capturing of inspection reports on QMS and ERP and maintenance of build history
• To follow up with suppliers and other role players on non – conforming materials

Key requirements

• Must have diploma: Mechanical Engineering/ Metrology OR Any relevant NQF 6 equivalent qualification
• Must have 2-5 years experience in a mechanical inspection environment and manufacturing industry.
• Understanding and exposure to the ISO 9001 quality management standards
• Must have knowledge in the application of sampling plans and material standards
• Must have good interpretation of geometric tolerancing and engineering drawings requirements
• Application of measurement practices and technology.
• Must have experience with optical measuring machine advantageous
• Must have knowledge of Ms Office package
• Must have good communication skills
• Must have available to work overtime to support operational requirements
• must have valid driver’s licence
