Short Description     

Our client is looking for an Assistant to start working urgently.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To daily linkage with DOH health facilities to identify patients that need to be followed up or contacts to be screened for TB/HIV.
  • To linkage with Aurum Project Coordinator to arrange outreach activities in the community.
  • To perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned including support for other programs related to entry into TB and HIV care.
  • To collaborate with community-based organizations and DOH clinics to facilitate transition of participants into care.
  • To input accurate and complete data for all contacts with clients into the project database.
  • To provide all required documentation in a timely manner, which may include client follow-up, outcome evaluation, client contact sheets, evaluations, and Aurum HR related documentation.
  • To participate in regular staff meetings, staff training programs, supervisory sessions, and accept the responsibility for aiding the development of positive team relationships as requested.
  • To implement quality improvement processes throughout the conduct of the project
  • To ensure regular and clear communication with the team.
  • All the communication is conducted in the spirit of Aurum values (teamwork, respect, excellence, and integrity).
  • To adherence to organogram and communication lines regarding various problems
  • To participate in training meetings and other activities both on site and at central venues to accomplish aims of the project.
  • To general supervision: routine duties are performed with minimal supervision; standard practices or procedures allow me to proceed alone at routine work; occasional check of work while in progress; work is reviewed upon completion.
  • To comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
  • To report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • To adhere to the relevant procedures with regards to participant confidentiality.
  • To perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Must have grade 12 or equivalent
  • Must have a post-matric qualification as enrolled nurse
  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience working in the public health and/or the NGO sector on TB and HIV/AIDS related community projects is an essential requirement
  • Must have computer Skills (Microsoft office: word, excel)
  • Must have knowledge of the TB program prevention and care
