Short Description

Our client is looking for an Assistant to start working urgently.

Duties and Responsibilities

To upload of the bank statements and sharing of the statements to stakeholders daily
To investigate rejected and unpaid payments
To ensure bank reconciliation open items are not older than 30 days
To resolve bank reconciliation and payments exceptions
To accurate and timeous allocation and clearing of inter-account and inter-company bank transactions
Zero overdue values on all bank related accounts as per various account timelines
To accurate and timeous reconciling / analysing of all AP main ledger to sub-leger (vendor ageing list) and following up on any reconciling items
Daily managing of the Suppliers Statements mailbox
To oreparation and submission of vendor reconciliation
Obtain supplier statements and reconcile to the ledger
To ensure audit deliverables are maintained according to the standards required by auditors
To keep an updated Standard Operating Process (SOP) for all recons performed
To carry out any reasonable instruction and duties as and when required by management
Ability to escalate where required to the relevant parties, and maintaining a good working relationship with all various teams
This role is at a Band 8 level reporting to the Cash Management Supervisor.

Job Qualifications:

Must have grade 12 with Accounting (essential)
Must have a relevant 3 year tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting (essential)
Must have SAP Finance (essential)
Must have 2 years of relevant experience (essential)
Must have MS Excel Intermediate (essential)
Must have relevant experience in the mining industry/corporate multinational environment
