Short Description     

Our client is looking for an Assistant to start working urgently.

Responsibilities:

  • To responsible for the overall running of the housekeeping department and supervising of staff
  • Co-ordinate rosters of the housekeeping team
  • To assign employees their duties and inspect work for conformance to prescribed standard of cleanliness
  • To assist room attendants in the cleaning of the rooms and public areas
  • To keeping record of inventories, stock to ensure adequate supplies
  • Do regular room checks for cleanliness and state of repairs
  • To report maintenance issues using the “Maintenance Log” and action
  • To responsible for all stock takes, stock variances and condemned items
  • To make timely and sound decisions with regards to appropriate course of action
  • To conduct training on room types, categories and amenities
  • To conduct departmental briefings
  • To manage and address issues relating to performance, deal with ill-discipline
  • Consistently recognize good performance
  • Establish open, trusting and caring relationships
  • To ensure associates understand and exceed customer expectations
  • To understand and focus on the key drivers of sales, associate and customer satisfaction, profitability and quality
  • Set performance against best benchmarks
  • To build positive and productive working relationships with customers, subordinates, peers and superiors and encourage this type of behaviour in others
  • To add value through revenue growth and operational efficiency through process improvement
  • Demonstrate emotional stability
  • To undertake room checks to follow through on previous orders given and ensure compliance thereto ensure that daily room inspections are conducted
  • Remain calm, confident and dependable during crisis
  • To set clear and measurable goals, objectives and manage results

Requirements

  • Relevant Diploma and/or 2-3 years’ experience in a Senior Role
  • PC literate
  • Must have good command of English and ability to communicate in English
  • Must have ability to manage staff
  • Logical and positive attitude and approach towards duties and guests
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge
  • Fully knowledgeable and up-to-date on Tourism trends
