Our client is looking for an Assistant to start working urgently.

Job performance

• To manage, develop and monitor strategies, systems and operational plans to ensure efficient logistical services, professional skills development and training to internal and external trainees and the accurate processing of fines and payments compliant to relevant legislation, and to participate in law enforcement activities
• To execute administrative management function to ensure an efficient and effective administration process that promotes a good image of EMPD that is to be upheld through public relations and in accordance to the Batho Pele principles
• To ensure effective fleet, assets, technical and logistics management practices and standards, to ensure the smooth running of the division
• To oversee implementation and interpretation of legislation to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
• To manage crime prevention functions; social crime prevention functions and technical services within the EMPD to effectively promote public safety service delivery based on the Batho Pele principles
• To oversee and ensure effective application and management of traffic fines administration practices to ensure proper and effective functioning of Municipal Courts
• To ensure effectiveness and integration of learning and development programmes to ensure effective training academy administrative and training practices
• Promote Learnerships to ensure that the unit complies with SAQA requirements
• To participate in project management and implementation within the EMPD to meet with Council requirements on public safety issues

Job Requirements:

• A relevant B Degree or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
• Metro Police Qualification from an Institution accredited by the Road Traffic Management Corporation & South African Police Services comprising of: Traffic Officer Diploma & Law Enforcement Skills Certificate
• Must have 8 years’ management experience in a Metro Police Department / South African Police Service / Law Enforcement / Security environment
• A valid driver’s license (At least Code B)
• No criminal record or illicit activity recorded
• Registered as Traffic Officer
• Must have Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
• Leadership capability (command & control)
• Must have Good interpersonal skills
