Short Description     

Our client is looking for an Assistant to start working urgently.

Key duties

  • Negotiate listing of existing products in new customers, and NPD’s in existing customers.
  • Grow market share in key accounts through the utilisation of outstanding sales fundamentals, including pricing, shelving, and merchandising plans.
  • Negotiate the implementation of the account plans with customers, giving recommendations for increasing sales.
  • Use influence and enhanced selling skills to reach a commercial agreement.
  • To manage accounts related admin such as claims, discounts, trade terms.
  • Align with Trade Marketing, Marketing and Supply Chain terms to influence internal plans, and to profitably grow the business.
  • To manage merchandising standards by giving instructions on how to merchandise and ensuring that merchandisers files are updated, and merchandiser order cards are completed.
  • To ensure excellence in the execution of customer marketing, new initiatives, product launches and promotional marketing plans with key accounts.
  • To drive Joint business planning & joint value creation with outlet managers.
  • Execute action plans in each outlet for sales growth.
  • To ensure volume targets are achieved.
  • To manage the back-up storage facilities to ensure that stock is properly handled at all times.
  • To review the progress of the implementation of the account plan with customers, and identify any deviation from set standards.
  • To put plans in place to rectify deviations.
  • Adhere to relevant company policies at all times.
  • To ensure that R991 and other local regulations, as well as interntal Danone policies on marketing of breast milk substitutes and marketing to children are adhered to.
  • Adhere to the WISE Policy at store level and adhere to WISE RACI Matrix.
  • To ensure compliance to WISE in respect of tools of the trade(cell phone/company car/hand held).
  • To conduct relevant safety training with in-store and merchandisers.
  • To ensure compliance to PPE requirements at all times.
  • To be responsible for the proper usage and management of tools and technology.
  • Field Sales Management
  • To work closely with the field sales and Smollan teams to ensure consistent availability of products and on shelf execution.
  • Own the customer relationship by managing store issues independently and ensuring positive working relationships with customers.

Requirements

  • Must have relevant 3-year Sales, Marketing or Business-related qualification
  • Client portfolio: Clicks, Dischem, Shoprite, Spar, PnP, Woolworths, Pharmacy Wholesalers, eCommerce customers.
  • Minimum 2 years Key Accounts Management experience in Baby category, and existing relationships with baby buyers in major pharma and retail customers.
  • Commercial acumen
  • Must proven negotiation and selling skills
  • Advanced communication skills (written, oral and listening)
  • Previous conflict management experience
  • Previous experience in working within and maintaining tight budget controls
  • Customer, Category and Channel knowledge
  • Proven experience in relationship management
  • Must work in a multifunctional environment
